Momstown Mania preparations in full swing!

Momstown Mania preparation is in full swing, with only a week to go until the great event!

The day is going to be filled with lots of fun and excitement. Lots of free demos ie: Mom and Baby fitness, Baby Sign Language, Story Times and so much more. There will be tons to do for the little ones as well. Mothers Day planting, Arts and Crafts, Toy area, Baby Bunnies to pet, A Karate Demo and more.

Proceeds from this event will go to Invest in Kids, a great charitable organization!

Be sure to come and check out Momstown Mania on May 6th! Momstown members, bring a friend who isn't a Momstown member and get an extra ballot for the amazing door prizes! There are 2, 1 year Momstown Memberships to be won, along with lots of other great prizes.

Bubble Blowing Fun at Sunnidale Park

What a great morning it was! The sun was shining and the wind was blowing just enough and the kids had a great time blowing bubbles at Sunnidale park!

The wind helped alot this morning at our Bubble Blowing Fun event. The kids had a great time blowing and chasing the bubbles. The wind was great as it blew the bubbles for us and the Moms didn't feel like we were going to pass out , from blowing so many bubbles.

After our Bubble fun, the kids enjoyed a nice play at the park. This gave the Moms some time to catch up and reconnect with friends we haven't seen in a while!

Rain, Rain, Go Away

I know they say April Showers bring May Flowers, but I have had enough of this, cold wet weather....... haven't you??

I hear that the next few days are going to be great, with lots of sunshine and blue skies! Perfect for our Community Clean up Day here in Barrie, taking place down at the Lakefront on Saturday morning. What a great way to get the whole family involved in helping our community, and making the Earth a better place to live.

On Friday we are meeting at Sunnidale park to enjoy the weather and have some bubble blowing fun! We will have lots of bubbles and lots of kids to enjoy them. When we are done, we can enjoy the park for the first time this season, I know I'm excited to get out and enjoy the weather.

We are busy planning our Momstown Mania event on May 6th! Its going to be an exciting, fun filled day. Keep you eyes and ears out for all the information on this great day.

Mom2mom Sale this weekend!

This weekend Momstown Barrie will be hosting our first Mom2mom sale at Kempenfelt Bay School on Bryne dr from 9:30-1:30 on Saturday April 18th!

Members will be on hand selling their gently used childrens items and clothing. Great deals are sure to be found. From infant clothes to Slings from toys to swings, you will be able to find it all at this great sale!

We will also have local businesses on hand for your shopping pleasure.

Admission is $1 to the public and of course free to our Momstown members ( be sure to have your ID cards with you).

Vendors will be accepting cash only.

We have over 40 tables booked, so dont miss out on this great sale! See you on Saturday morning! Be sure to arrive early to get the best deals!

Easter is here!

Happy Easter to everyone in the Momstown neighborhood!

It seems to have crept up on us but, the Easter Long weekend is here. The weather forecast is looking great, with lots of sunshine in store, for the Easter Bunny's arrival.

With the arrival of Easter Im sure alot of us are looking forward to what great things spring brings. Flowers poking up throught the ground, buds on trees and lots of activities outside.

I know, I will be taking this weekend to get some rest, enjoy my families excitement and of course, eat some yummy chocolate treats! Iwill be hoping next week is filled with lots of sunny warm days so I can get outside for some much needed exercise, to burn off the calories I consume over the next four days!!

April Showers................

April Showers.........Bring May flowers. That is what they say at least.

April has started off very wet and rainy but lets hope that doesn't last long and by next week we are out enjoying some sunny spring weather.

April is an exciting month in Momstown. We have lots of great events planned, including some park walks, playgroups, Bubble Blowing fun, Easter Activities, Spring Crafts and lots more.

As we approach the warmer months it is going to be great to be able to hold our events outside, this will give the kids an opportunity to burn off some energy and let go of the cabin fever we all have from the long cold winter.

Don't forget about Momstown Mania happening May 6th, 2009! Be sure to stay tuned for all the details. We will be posting updates on the Message board and calendar.
