Summer in Momstown Barrie

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!!

The warm weather is finally here, the kids are out of school for the summer and summer is in full swing!

I love the warm weather! its so nice to be able to leave the house without having to bundle up. Just throw on a pair of sandals, put on some sunscreen and a hat and head out to whatever destination.

We have some great field trips planned here in Momstown Barrie this summer. South Simcoe Steam Train, Beach Days, Castle Village in Midland, and so much more! Its going to be a great summer filled with tons of activities and great friends.

We have already had a great playdate hosted by one of our Momstown members in her beautiful back yard. The kids had a blast playing with all her great toys, in her water table and playing in the tent and climbing her climber. It was so nice to sit out in the sun, share some snacks, catch up with friends and watch our kiddies play.

This is our first full Momstown Barrie Summer and its going to be a great one! Don't forget to send us your pictures that you take at events.

Fathers Day in Momstown

Fathers Day is this Sunday and as the week goes on I keep thinking of things to do for my Hubby for Fathers day! Mothers day was a quiet one, at my request, with just a bbq and quality family time. Im thinking the same thing for Fathers Day.

Our lives are so hectic these days, with T-ball, Soccer, Karate and work, it seems that any family time, is spent, driving in the car to and from events.

So this Sunday, as we are sitting outside on our deck, with a "cold beverage" some sun, bbq and the kids running around. I hope my husband takes the time to look around and see this is what Fathers day is all about!

I know alot of you will be giving the "Daddys" at your house the special t-shirts you made last Friday, I hope your husbands wear them with pride, because: Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a DADDY!

I know we are Momstown, but lets face it ladies, without our husband/partners as Daddy's to our kids, we wouldn't be Mommy's to our precious little ones. So take Sunday to say thanks to the special fathers in your life............. Then come Monday, start planning what you want to do for Mothers Day next year!

June is here........ bring on summer

June is here and in a matter of three weeks the kids will be out of school and Summer will be in full swing!!!

I can't believe its mid June and we havent really seen any "summer" weather yet? what is going on with this weather? Bring on the sun and warm weather!!

We have an exciting week here in Momstown! Our Make a Tshirt for dad event is going to be a huge success on Friday morning, we have 35 mom signed up! There will be fabric paint everywhere but Dad will have a great shirt to wear on June 21!

Saturday afternoon is going to be a blast! we have our Spring Fling Family BBQ at Edencrest Farm in Midhurst. We will be having tractor rides, walks on trails, sac races and of course great food!

The weather forecast is looking good for the rest of the week, lets hope its here to stay!!
