Easter Chicks!

Any holiday always brings out cute crafts. For one of our Easter crafts this year our momstown mamas and kiddies made some super easy, but super cute chicks!

The momstown kids and moms thought they were adorable and they had so much fun making them.

All we needed was so bright yellow cups found at the party store, feathers, construction paper, googly eyes and some imaginative kids!

The kids had a great time making their chick faces, all kids see, to love glue and even better, googly eyes!


Once the faces were ready we glued them onto our chick bodies (paper cups) and then covered the body in feathers!

We added some feet and some feathers to the head and voila! An adorable Easter chick!

This craft was lots of fun and so cute! The kids had a great time, and the moms did too!

Spring in Barrie

Last week was full of fun around town!

Our walking club met on a beautiful spring day down by the lake and took a nice long walk with babes in strollers and the older kids running and playing alongside.

It was a gorgeous Spring day, warm and sunny with a light breeze coming of the lake that was actually warm!!!

Getting out and being active was a perfect lead into our special guest that came in to talk to our momstown mamas about getting fit and losing weight.

Personal trainer and boot camp organizer Amy Whitfield joined us to talk about the benefits of being healthy, building muscle and losing weight. With a short demonstration of what to expect in a boot camp class our mamas were sweating up a storm and feeling the burn. I can tell you I felt that sweet pain of working muscles in places I didn't know had muscles!

The moms were pumped and are looking forward to our momstown Boot Camp starting in May!

With Easter quickly approaching, we spent a day make a cool Easter craft! The kids made Easter Wreaths out of paper plates, tissue paper, stickers and Easter clothes pins. They all had fun gluing and creating and getting messy!




With a full week of fun under our belts, we head into another full week of fun!

Today was our mama's morning out at Wendy's and it was great to see so many new faces and to have some new moms

join the neighbourhood!

Spring is in the Air!

Ahhh! Spring is in the air! Though there are still 2 weeks until it's officially Spring, the weather we have had this past week has been very Spring like and very welcomed by all!

As the snow melts, the temperatures rise and the kids ask to play outside, moms and dads everywhere are happy to head outdoors for walks, bike rides and play time!

March is still a mystery though, the weather man is predicting that there is still snow to come, but in the meantime we will embrace this warm weather and dream of Spring and not too far off Summer!!!

momstown Barrie has lots of great events for March! Healthy eating month brings us a healthy Dinner Club night and Salad Mania! Crafts and play days fill the calendar as we get ready for Spring and Easter! A Hawaiian Luau and an Easter Egg Hunt at the farm round off the month and get us ready for April!

Easter is here!

Happy Easter to everyone in the Momstown neighborhood!

It seems to have crept up on us but, the Easter Long weekend is here. The weather forecast is looking great, with lots of sunshine in store, for the Easter Bunny's arrival.

With the arrival of Easter Im sure alot of us are looking forward to what great things spring brings. Flowers poking up throught the ground, buds on trees and lots of activities outside.

I know, I will be taking this weekend to get some rest, enjoy my families excitement and of course, eat some yummy chocolate treats! Iwill be hoping next week is filled with lots of sunny warm days so I can get outside for some much needed exercise, to burn off the calories I consume over the next four days!!
